Make coasters in various petal shapes.

I made flower-shaped coasters.

There are 3 types of petals with 5, 6, and 8 petals.

You can make two size coasters.

A coaster with 8 petals can also be made in the shape of a clover like this.

It can also be used as a prop for small items

such as flowerpots, vases, pencil holders, and bowls.

Enjoy a cup of tea with a pretty coaster~

The large size is about 20cm (8in) and the small size is about 13cm (5in).

 

Pattern

(You can download the pattern at the bottom of this post.)

Materials

Print out the pattern and cut one into flower shapes and the other into squares.

Cotton fabric, Non-woven fusible interfacing(2 oz)

Prepare the back of the coaster with two rectangles.

How to make

1. Sew two pieces right sides together like this.

2. Open the seam allowance.

3. Align the part marked by the arrow on the back side and attach the interfacing.

4. It is better if you stitch two rows on each side of the seam.

5. Sew the back pieces right sides together leaving a hole in the middle.

6. Place the front on top of the back and sew along the flower shape.

​

7. Cut the seam allowance in the shape of a flower and clipping.

8. Turn inside out and make it shape.

9. Hand sew to close the opening.

10. Iron it. Done!
