A lightweight bag that is easy to carry around with your cell phone in it.
Pictures and Description
I recently bought a snap Hand Press Machine,
so I installed eyelets and rivets to it, and it is very useful.
The brown plain linen bag is also pretty.
I also made the bag strap myself.
I used to sew it to make bag straps,
but now that I can fix them with rivets, they look much prettier and I like it.
You can make the bag strap simpler by inserting a cotton ribbon or round cotton string directly into the eyelet and tying it.
Materials
Linen, Woven Fusible Interfacing
1cm (⅜in) seam allowance included.
My phone is about 16.5 cm (6½ in) including the case.
If your phone is larger, please increase the vertical length by 1 to 2cm (¾in).
No. 3 Zipper, Label,
Lobster Clasps, Slide Buckle,
Double Cap Rivets, Eyelets
If no rivets, sew it in a zigzag pattern or by hand sewing it, like sewing a button.
(The method for sewing a button is in <How to Make a Bunny / Rabbit Doll Taebong>)
3. Place the zipper on the outer and pin it.
and then place the lining on top of it and sew them together.
4. Fold the outer, zipper, and lining on the other side and sew.
4. Put the zipper slider.
5. Fold the outer and lining so that the top of the zipper is about 4cm (1⅝in).
6. Fold a 4 x 4cm (1⅝ x 1⅝in) piece of fabric
and put it between the zipper and the outer, with the folded side facing inward.
7. Fold the lining that will be the opening slightly, pin it, and sew both sides.
8. Cut off the excess zipper and clipping.
9. After turning it over to the opening,
fold the opening seam allowance inward and sew.
10. Turn over so the outer is visible and shape it.
11. Draw a cross (+) line at the eyelet location.
Put the eyelet washer and draw a circle.
12. Make a hole with a seam ripper
and cut the inside of the circle in a cross (+) shape with scissors.
Because the fabric was thick with multiple layers,
it was difficult to cut with just a seam ripper, so I used scissors.
13. Cut out the fabric inside the circle.
You don’t necessarily have to cut it into a round shape.
Just insert the eyelet and make a hole smaller than the eyelet.
14. Insert the eyelet on the front and place the eyelet washer on the back.
Place it in the mold and press down on the handle with both hands.
15. Now let’s make a crossbody bag strap.
Fold one end diagonally and cut out.
16. Place the two pieces together diagonally and sew them together.
It's the same as how to make a bias tape.
17. Fold, iron, and sew.
18. Hang the bag strap onto the lobster clasp and slide buckle
and secure with the rivet.
If no rivets, just sew the bag strap.
19. Just connect the bag strap to the bag and you’re done.
