I made a double cup carrier bag with patchwork using plain linen fabric.
Pictures
It can hold two to-go cups, one on each side.
It can even put a tumbler or water bottle.
You can also put a tumbler on one side and your cell phone on the other.
The bag bottom looks like this.
The label is installed with rivets.
This is a hand press machine that I purchased a while ago.
I bought it, so I have to use it!
I also added a rivet to the center of the bag.
You can make it even without rivets, so give it a try.
You need a total of 32 pieces, 16 pieces measuring 6 x 6cm (2⅜ x 2⅜in).
The patchwork process is in the video.
It’s easier to make if you make the outer of one piece.
Cut by folding twice or once.
How to make
1. Sew the linings right sides together, leaving an opening.
3. Clip all curves and fold the outer and lining separately.
4. Mark the bottom part of the lining, open the seam allowances, and fold it.
5. Lay the outer on lining and fold it wrap the lining.
Fold both sides in the same way.
6. Sew both side lines.
7. Turn inside out and sew the bag handles.
8. Fold the handle seam allowance inward and sew.
9. Sew up the opening.
10. Sew 12cm (4¾in) in the center to divide the cup compartment.
The upper part is backstitched several times to make it strong.
(The patchwork part was hand-sewn.
If you didn't do patchwork, you can just sew it straight.)
11. I finished the double cup carrier bag by installing rivets.
Please check out the video for detailed making process.
