The square pouch is pretty, but I wanted to make a cute round pouch.
Pictures and Description
I made a pouch that would be great to give as a gift for Christmas.
I tried to give it a Christmas feel with a green zipper and red fabric.
This cute mini pouch fits comfortably in one hand and
can be used to store small belongings or as a coin purse.
This pouch would look pretty even with a pretty key ring instead of a strap.
The making process shot shows a mini pouch, and the video shows a large pouch.
Let's make it together.
Materials
The seam allowance for the zipper area is 0.5cm (¼in) and the rest is 1cm (⅜in).
Cotton, Non-woven interfacing (2 oz), No. 3 Zipper, Ribbon
if making with a fusible interfacing,
cut it without seam allowances and attach it to the outer fabric by ironing.
How to make
1. Lay the outer on the interfacing, open the zipper, and sew one side at a time.
3. Cut the interfacing seam allowance with scissors.
4. Make another one in the same way.
5. Lay the outer on interfacing of the bottom,
then sew it together with the front.
6. Sew the bottom and back.
7. Cut the bottom seam allowance with scissors, leaving 0.5cm (¼in).
8. Put the zipper slider.
9. Sew the lining.
11. Place half of the ribbon between the outer and sew the side lines.
That's it!
